John Paul Ballinger

August 14, 1950 — April 23, 2019

John Paul Ballinger, 68, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at a Chattanooga health care facility.  He was a 1969 graduate of Bradley Central High School and a veteran of the United States Army.  While in Nashville he worked security with the Tennessee Titans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the Reverend J.C. Ballinger and Lois R. Ballinger; and brother, Andy Ballinger.

Survivors include his sisters, Joy Grace Ballinger of Cleveland and Janet Faith Murray (Chris) of Harrison; uncle, Dub Robinson (Ruth) of Nashville; aunt, Mae Palmer (Sonny), of North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Russell Coffey officiating.  Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

His family will receive friends 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
