Phillip Barber

Phillip Barber, 71, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, June 6, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Phil was a long-time member of the administrative staff at Lee University, serving as Registrar and in more recent years serving in the Division of Adult Learning.  He was a proud sponsor of Pi Kappa Pi at Lee University for 11 years and has been retired for three years.  He and his wife served 6 years as Directors of Frankfurt Center through Church of God Ministry to the Military prior to residing in Cleveland.  Phil was a proud United States Air Force veteran.  

He is survived by his wife, Lena Barber, and two daughters, Katie Barber and Kim Jones, son-in-law, Eddie Jones, two granddaughters Chloe Jones & Macey Jones of Cleveland, one brother, Nick Barber of Wallace, NC, and three sisters, Shelby McGalliard of Pikeville, NC, Judy McElmurry of Goldsboro, NC, and Phyllis Posik.

The family will celebrate his life with a private ceremony at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
