Mary Frances (Nana Fran) Long Cross, 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. She was of the Baptist faith. On Wednesday God gave her, her wings to go be with her husband and sons.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and was loved by all who came in contact with her. She was everyone’s mom, nana, and nana fran. One of her great-grandson’s had a special name for her, and she loved it, he called her his M-80. She loved that name.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, William (Bill) Walter Cross; sons, Tim, Garry, and Larry Cross; and parents, Joe and Blanche Long.
She is survived by four daughters, Ramona (Monie) Cross, Donna Beaty and her husband Skip, Karen Brown, and Christina (Christy) Cross. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, four granddaughters, five grandsons, three great-granddaughters, and three great-grandsons; brother, Bobby Long and his wife Melba; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Jackie Carden officiating. Interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery with Skip Beaty, Jacob Beaty, Joshua Beaty, Ryan Hughes, Greg Davis, and Jimmy Hill serving as pallbearers. A dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
