Dr. Mary Duck Shil Kim

Dr. Mary Duck Shil Kim, 85, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Stone Creek Health and Rehabilitation in Ashville, NC. She attended First Baptist Church of Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her parents, B. Kim and D. Song and son, David Kim. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dr. Stephen Sae Chang Kim; children, Susan White (Peter) of Fort Collins, CO, Grace Kim of Atlanta, GA and Hannah Kim (Andrew Franch) of Asheville, NC; granddaughter, Madeline Franch; siblings, Phillip Kim, Grace Min  and Donald Kim and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Monday, July 29, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Rusty Asbel officiating.  Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
