William Francis Miessau, Sr.

William Francis Miessau, Sr., 80, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at his residence.  He served in the Air National Guard.  He enjoyed riding his Goldwing motorcycle, fishing, and most of all spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by parents, Rueben Miessau and Sarah Butler Miessau; children, Joseph Miessau, Robert Miessau, JoAnn Miessau; and brothers, James Miessau, Sr., Jack Miessau, and Robert Miessau.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Leavenworth Miessau; children, William Miessau, Jr., and wife Mary of Cleveland, Lenny Miessau and wife Marci of Portland, OR, Keith Miessau and wife Monica of Oviedo, FL, and Bonnie Cooper and husband Jerry of Oviedo, FL; granddaughters, Brenda Chastain and husband Nick of Cleveland, and Amanda Ortiz of Crawfordville, FL; grandchildren, Jowanna, Jennifer, Chris, Kyle, Kayla, Angelica, Mason, Hunter, Kiley, Bobby Jr., Joey Jr., Robin, Glen, Ben, Christina, Jenny, Kyle, Kendra, Kayelynn; many great grandchildren; brother, Richard Miessau, and wife Lillian of Boca Raton, FL, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
