Martha Elizabeth Moncrief

Martha Elizabeth Russell Moncrief, 88, of Cleveland, passed away August 18, 2019 in a local health care facility.  She was a member of First Baptist Church and a retired educator from Indianapolis. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Gladys Russell; son, Raymond Scott and brothers, Oliver Russell and Bob Dismukes.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Reverend Thomas S. Moncrief of Cleveland; Russell Thomas Moncrief of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Lora Robbins, Anthony Moncrief, Delina Moncrief, Christian Campbell Moncrief, and Sherrus Lyndsey Moncrief; seven great-grandchildren, Allyissa Moncrief, Madison Moncrief, Parker Robbins, Madelyn Robbins, Emily Moncrief, Havyn Moncrief, and Mason Moncrief; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Jim Gibson and the Reverend Tom Wickes officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes.

Her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
