Christine Clark Cooper

February 9, 1927 — August 25, 2019

Christine Ledford Clark Cooper, age 92, left this life to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, August 25, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Monroe Ledford and Tennie Ledford, Brothers, Coy Ledford and Raymond Ledford and sisters, Lois Williamson, Lena Haney, Louise Wilson, Virginia McKheen, Dorothy Swafford, Ruth Parker and Francis Troutman and brother-in-law, Victor McKheen.

She leaves behind daughters, Geraldine (Geri) Clark, Rebecca Clark Comer, (Chuck Comer) and son Jerry Clark; grandchildren, Jason Patterson (Angela), Tara Patterson Ghica ( Renato), Alex Comer, Adam Comer (Katie)Aaron Coner (Katelyn) , Scott Clark, and Hope Clark Plumbley( Harry); great-grandchildren, Taylor Patterson, Bennettt Patterson, Elijah Comer and Ellasyn Comer, Addalyn Comer, Dean, Comer;  many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She leaves a very big family and her passing leaves us missing her and of her love for all of us. She will be truly missed by all. As she once prayed, “Jesus, I need you now”, we witnessed His protection and love for her as she made her journey to be in His arms.

Celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastors Adam Comer and Pastor Aaron Comer officiating.  Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with her grandsons and son-in-law serving as pallbearers. Her great-grandsons will be serving as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at Autumn Care Canton Hollow and Autumn Care Karns for all their caring for her and their faithfulness to her.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her grandsons’ ministries at S2L Rehabilitation Program in Woodbury, TN in care of Adam Comer or Shepherds Staff for the ministry of Aaron/ Katelyn Comer.
