1Lt. William B. Pickel

1Lt. William B. Pickel, 30, of Enterprise, AL, formerly of Cleveland, TN, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019.  He was an active duty 1st Lieutenant of the United States Army, where he was attending helicopter flight training at Fort Rucker AL.  He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University as a commissioned officer on May 5, 2017, after being enlisted as a medic for the army.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Terra Pickel and children, Taygen and Addalyn, all of Cleveland; parents, Donald Pickel and Priscilla Redman-Pickel; siblings, Christina and Christopher Pickel and uncle, Randy Pickel. 

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 12, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 12:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
