Glover Lonzo McKinney

Glover Lonzo McKinney, age 75, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016, at his residence.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a lifelong electrician.  He was retired from Mueller Company and a member of International Association of Machinists and Steelworkers, Local 56. 

Glover was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Erwin  & Eva Lee "Cross" McKinney. 

He is survived by his wife, Florence Elemia McKinney; children, David McKinney (Diane), of Mary Esther, Florida, Patrick McKinney (Donna Gurnas), Curtis McKinney (Judy), Michael McKinney, Donna Morrison (Loren Howard), all of Cleveland; grandchildren, , Andrea Sorenson (Jeff), Steven McKinney, Patrick McKinney Jr., Amber McKinney, Hanna McKinney,Dustin Morrison (April) Christina Garren (Dave) and Roger Morrison; great grandchildren, Teresa Beck, Chloe Garren, Paige Garren, Kenneth Garren, Kyah Morrison and Kayden Morrison; siblings, James E. McKinney Sr. (Jan) and Joyce Goins, all of Cleveland. Special nephew, Mark Goins and special great niece, Jenifer Goins; and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery with military honors and a dove release.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
