William "Bill" Hamlett Jr.

William “Bill” Hamlett Jr., age 60, of Ooltewah, TN. passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at his home.

He was a 24 year veteran of the US Air Force and worked at Jeep City and Larry Hill Ford as a Car Salesman. He was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church in Tellico Plains, TN.  and loved fishing and hunting.

William is survived by his parents, William and Alma Jean Hamlett of Conover, NC.; his four children, Aaron Hamlett of Ooltewah, TN. , David Hamlett of Baltimore, MD., Will Hamlett of Baltimore, MD., Brittani Thompson and husband Steve of Old Fort, TN.; one sister, Pam Hutchings and husband Stan of North Carolina.; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren; nephews, Courtney Holt and William Holt.; best friend and brother-in-law, Jody Fann of McDonald, TN

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Maple Springs Baptist Church in Tellico, TN. with Pastor Vernon Webb Officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm at the church prior to the service. Burial will take place at Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
