Donald Edward Dale

Donald Edward Dale, 83, a resident of Calhoun, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at his home. 

He was born June 7, 1934 in Turtletown, TN to Eldon and Ella Dale.  Don was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Mason. He was a handyman who could fix almost anything.  Don was known as a caring and giving man who grew vegetables and often gave them away.  He was always ready to lend a helping hand to widows and others in his community that needed help with yard work or maintenance needs.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Dale; parents, Eldon and Ella Lunsford Dale; and siblings, Kenneth Dale and Geraldine Dale.

Survivors include his children, David (Tammy) Dale, Donna (Gary) Moats; grandchildren, Patrick Dale, Sarah Beth Dale, Gary Moats II, Amber Moats, Justin Moats; and special cousin Marie.

The Funeral will be Friday, April 13, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Cheatham officiating.  Interment will be Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Calhoun Cemetery with military honors.

His family will receive friends from 4:00–7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home prior to the service.
